Food at the Stomp

The Whatcom County Health Department strictly regulates the service of food to the public. Please carefully read and plan to follow the following regulations if you are serving food at your Stomp Stop.

Exempt

I do not need to get a permit because I am limiting the food items I will offer at my Stomp Stop to the list of foods that is exempt from needing a permit.

Please note: if any food needs to be mixed, cut, handled or cooked, you need a permit.

Low Risk

I will get a Temporary Event Exemption Form, which costs $28.84, and a Food Worker Card, which requires an online class and costs $10.

This permit allows you to serve a limited variety of low-risk foods at your Stomp Stop.

High Risk

I will get a Temporary Food Establishment permit, which costs $173.04, and a Food Worker Card which requires an online class and costs $10.

This permit allows you to serve most foods, including higher risk foods like meat or dairy.
