Call for artists!
Are YOU The Stomp’s next poster artist?!!
Each year The Stomp features a different local artist (often from Sunnyland!) on posters and event swag. It is a joy to see the different artists’ interpretations of the spirit and creativity of The Stomp, and we always look forward to unveiling the poster as the kickoff to Stomp season each year!
The poster design may also be used to create swag (t-shirts, tote bags, stickers, etc.) for Stomp hosts & sponsors.
THE NITTY GRITTY:
A $200 stipend is available to the artist of the selected poster design for donating their creativity to the cause.
The poster art will serve as the centerpiece of the branding for that year’s Stomp.
Posters are printed on 11x17” paper, full color/full bleed, vertically oriented, with a blank space at the bottom for sponsor logos.
The art should be vertically oriented, 11” wide x 14-15” high (or be easily scaled to those dimensions)
Any medium can be used to create the poster art, as long as the final product can be scanned and digitized into a high-quality image file
The final poster art must be submitted in 2 versions:
Single color for printing on swag (like t-shirts)
Full color for the poster (full color is more eye-catching!)
The art itself needs to incorporate the following text in a prominent and easy-to-read location:
“Sunnyland Stomp” or “The Sunnyland Stomp” or “18th Annual Sunnyland Stomp”
Date of event: Saturday, July 18, 2026
Time of event: 3-8pm
Website: sunnylandstomp.com
Stomp Tagline (optional): "A summer celebration of creativity and community"
TO APPLY:
Create a quick draft/sketch of your poster idea - this does not have to be fancy - just enough to show us what you have in mind! What does the spirit of the Stomp mean to you? Illustrate your vision of the celebration of creativity and community! Although we love our unofficial mascot, the backyard chicken, it need not be the centerpiece (or present) in your design. Please see the archive of previous Stomp posters below for your reference.
Email your draft to sunnylandstomp@gmail.com by or before February 7, 2026. In the email, please tell us a little bit about yourself (an artist bio, any art social media accounts, if you live in the Sunnyland Neighborhood, or if you’ve attended the Stomp before) so we can get to know you better!
